Personal Background in Muay Thai
Surachai Chanmanee, known as Master Jud or Ajarn Jud by foreigners, began his journey in Muay Thai at the age of 7, inspired by his father who was also a boxer. He started training in rural areas and fought in numerous matches before moving to Bangkok, where he fought under the name “Banluesak Chuenyim.”
After retiring from fighting, he became a Muay Thai trainer at Kiattivanaram Camp, where he trained many renowned fighters such as Chamuakthong, Thepyut, and Yodthongchai Kiattivanaram. Later, he moved to Por Pramuk Gym, where he trained several world champions and helped the gym win the Best Muay Thai Camp in Thailand award in 2001.
Promoter and Trainer
Master Jud has also worked as a promoter at Rajadamnern Stadium, Lumpinee Stadium, and various rural venues. He has trained numerous champions, including Buakaw Por Pramuk (now Buakaw Banchamek), Namsaknoi Yudthakarnkamtorn (the King of Muay Thai Dance), Chokdee, Sakaeo, Phajonsuek, Pornpitak, Ratchamongkol, Thepyut, and Chamuakthong.
He has also trained Prasawan Por Pramuk, who became a world champion in both Muay Thai and boxing (WBA), and Kompayak (WBC) from Por Pramuk Gym.
International Experience
Master Jud has traveled extensively to teach and conduct seminars abroad, particularly in the United States at Fivepoints Academy in New York, Chaiyo MuayThai, and Muaythaiiyarin, among other gyms. He has helped many fighters achieve championship titles. He travels to the United States annually to teach and conduct seminars.
